My Story
Trent has been in full-time ministry for over 18 years. Prior to ministry, he worked in the automotive industry. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Automotive & Heavy Equipment Management from Ferris State University as well as a Certificate in Bible from Moody Theological Seminary.
Trent started in full-time ministry as a student pastor and quickly moved into an associate pastor role. After 5 years, he transitioned to Southpoint Church as an associate campus pastor, helping them launch their first multi-site location. In 2012 he moved into the Executive Pastor role with the primary focus of developing staff, systems, and structures to launch additional campuses. Over the next 10 years, he oversaw multiple campus expansion projects and a multi-million dollar capital campaign. After a change in vision, he began releasing campuses as independent churches. In 2023, he transitioned with Southpoint’s final campus launching Hope City Church where he currently serves as an Elder and a part-time staff member.
Trent serves with New Churches of Christ Evangelism as the Director of Operations and Business Development. He has also worked in the financial services industry for over 2 years growing in the area of financial planning. He and his wife, Sarah, have a deep passion and enjoy coaching churches and individuals in the area of stewardship and personal finances.
Trent and Sarah have been married for over 15 years and have two children, Evan and Taya. For fun, they enjoy RVing through their home state of Michigan and around the country to National Parks!
